WeatherZ on Android and iPhone

Native WeatherZ apps for Android and iOS are in development, following the web platform launch. Everything WeatherZ does - the Activity Monitor storm desk, the ChaserZ virtual storm chasing game, live UK radar, storm tracking, warning context, community reports and Zedbot - designed properly for your pocket.

What the apps will do

• Live rainfall radar and nowcast for your location, with widgets;
• Storm alerts that explain themselves - when a named storm or warning affects your saved places, the notification tells you what it means, not just that it exists;
• One-tap weather reports - photo, category, done. Your report joins the live map with a privacy-safe location;
• Deep links - links to WeatherZ storm pages, reports and locations will open directly in the app when installed, and work perfectly on the web when not;
• Zedbot for plain-English answers about the data you're looking at;
• The Activity Monitor and ChaserZ - the live storm desk and the virtual storm chasing game, both already playable in a phone browser today.

Honest status

We don't publish launch dates we can't keep, download numbers we don't have, or store badges that lead nowhere. The apps will appear on Google Play and the App Store when they're genuinely ready - with pre-registration and pre-order links here first. In the meantime the full platform is already live in your browser: create a free account and we'll tell you in-app when the apps land.

Meanwhile, the website works on your phone

WeatherZ is built mobile-first, so the website itself is already a first-class phone experience - no install required. Open weatherz.uk on your phone and add it to your home screen; our UK weather guides are free to read on any device.
